Welcome to our Jack the Ripper Walking Tour site!Jack the Ripper Walking Tours welcomes you...

We have always held a fascination for the murderer known as Jack the Ripper who stalked the streets of Whitechapel in the Victorian London of 1888, killing innocent prostitutes so feed some kind of blood lust that increased each time, culminating in the almost complete destruction of Mary Kelly. It is a fascination held by millions across the world, and surely Jack the Ripper has been the key player in more books and films over the years than any other criminal figure.

Our site seeks to serve 2 purposes. Firstly to introduce Jack the Ripper to a new audience by narrating the lives and times of the killer and his victims in easy to follow pages, looking at the suspects at the time and since and trying to decide which, if any of them, were Jack the Ripper. Secondly, we provide a directory of the current Jack the Ripper Walking Tours available to the public and give our own personal experiences where possible.

This is an ongoing project. That is not to say we will post incomplete pages because we won't. We will add to the site page by page, building it into a fantastic database of all things connected with Jack the Ripper. And as our audience grows we will invite active participation and offer visitors special offers. You can always contact Jack the Ripper Walking Tours at any time and offer your suggestions and input.

So come along with us and venture back in time to those smog filled, crime and disease riddled streets of 1888 Whitechapel. We will show you what it was like to live in such a degrading environment, and what the life of a prostitute was like back then. The glorified TV version of the big hats with feathers, pretty girls with bright, clean dresses and pubs filled with smiling, singing customers is a world away from the truth. Life in London in 1888 was far this made for TV ideal.

Enjoy your stay at Jack the Ripper Walking Tours, and come back soon!
